What Not To Say


  • Avoid passing on rumors or gossip
  • Don’t tell questionable stories or jokes.
  • Do not dwell on personal misfortunes, especially those that are current
  • Discussion about the costs of items can be uncomfortable.
  • Don’t ask how much a person earns or discuss your own salary.
  • Don’t delve into your health problems and concerns or the other person’s health (unless the other person is suffering from something obvious and temporary, such as a cast).
  • Avoid discussing controversial subjects (including religion and politics), especially when you don’t know where the other person stands on them.  If these topics do come up, try to take a neutral stance when you are with clients, business associates, or people you do not know well, even if you hold strong opinions on the subject.

Attitude helps to tell the story of who we are, just  like watching a movie.
